"Symfony is the last chance for PHP." I completly disagree with this comment. Symfony is possibly the best PHP framework atm. But PHP is kicking anyway. No need to talk about last chances or the like.

I agree with Pastor. If it was not for symfony I would have migrated to Ruby or Python.
